For LPNs seeking an advanced placement, a LPN transition course must be taken before starting staff nursing courses. This allows students to earn credits and achieve advanced placement status in the Associate Program. While no minimum cumulative average is required for the application, a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher is recommended to be competitive for admission. This program is only open to students who hold a registered nurse`s license and have successfully completed an Associate`s Degree in Nursing from a locally accredited community college.
